Is your athletic shoe doing all that it could?

No one certainly asks for a broken leg… They are, however, able to ask for a shoe that does it all…

While driving here, Gunther “sang” the entire way, which my husband said he hadn’t been doing in my absence the past 4 months. An avid snowboarder in Lake Tahoe, breaking my leg during a record snowfall year was not ideal.  This was my first walk to the lake with them since the accident.

Why am I telling you this?

With a stellar orthopedic center and my On athletic shoes, I have been rehabilitating like a champ. They say you have to go slow to go fast in recovery. I did not originally buy On shoes to go slow, let me tell ya.

During Covid, my gym was closed and I was desperate to stay in shape. Being physical is paramount to my mental health and already with being “essential” and hearing the news every day I was in no shape to get out of shape!

I love these shoes for many reasons because of the support in everything that I do: Go to the shops (masked up of course) hit the pavement (as much as I have a love/hate for this form of exercise) hike/jog trails or have them patiently waiting in the wings for their grand debut back into society and at the gym.

The world has apparently sprung back to “normal” but the shoes have continued to be here for me. Although with the broken leg, I don’t know if I would have had the same confidence. I live in the snow, and there is often slush and slippery parts of the ground and floor, and the traction has never let me down. The support is unbeatable, and my foot has never turned when my ankle and leg were still growing stronger.

As I progressed into more rigorous exercises at physical therapy, I felt strong and capable because where my strength or agility was not, my footwear was 100%. Where physical therapy may have kicked my ass, my On shoes held up to the test.

So…I am not running just yet, but I am definitely walking to the lake, going to the gym for the elliptical, back in the shops, and riding my bike. There is no question as to what shoes I reach for every time for every activity.

On-> for every step of the way.

And, most importantly, Gunther approves.
