BUT... They Will! With a little help understanding SEO & SERP…
There is an inner working science to this Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and thereby, Search Engine Results Page (SERP) stuff of websites and I will admit it first and foremost: I am a mere fledgling in this matter of the world. Who is with me?
Good thing I met Jean Charles, Digital Marketing Expert of WSI Vital Marketing and he opened up my whole world to the very important, let’s say…VITAL…backstage of this whole performance…
I know, I know… we use both hemispheres of our brain… But I am definitely right brain dominant. I’m a creative. Left brain may (or may not- who knows spotty on reliability) be taking a nap stage left… it’s in charge of the logical, analytical thinking.
As a right brain, I am creative, emotional and intuitive. So this is all foreign and not natural in my thinking. However, VITAL (see what I did there?) to all of our businesses… Whichever side of the brain you hang out with the most…
If you are anything like me, you were so focused on what YOU had to offer, you didn’t think of all the things that encompassed setting up a business that would seamlessly work with your brilliant idea.
The copywriting coaching class I am proudly enrolled in, offered by the spectacular, Natalie Milligan, The Copy Rebel, is excellent in offering all the guide books, maps and solutions. She also emphasizes in working for the customer and always with the customer as top of mind.
But I don’t think until you really get yourself into it, you REALIZE the depth all of these businesses go through to make it all work. Thank you, Nat, I swear I was paying attention…
In her unparalleled coaching class, the wildly popular Nat Milligan, creator of The Copy Rebel, also does a powerhouse job in sharing trusted, sure fire Power Words. This is just a small tidbit of the wealth of knowledge received…In addition, an extensive resource library chock full with information, templates, starter kits & formulas amongst others & is available for life.
Even with all of these phenomenal tools, there is still an under belly that we all are not privy to…
Now there is a VAST interweb highway that we all have access to. But how do we conduct ourselves on it? Are there directions? Is there a protocol? There is this grand interconnected highway but no map… Well, where there may not be an actual physical map, Jean Charles has some insight that made me think: I had built my website and now what? … And… that I was probably not alone…

There are about 1.13 billion websites on the internet in 2023. About (holy moly) 82% are inactive, which means 200 million or so are actively maintained and visited. Did they abandon their post because no one could find them?
In addition to that, who are the drivers on the highway? Searching without a map? About 8.5 billion searches take place on Google every single day. Which is about 99,000 searches per second. I mean, it’s only 10am in the morning and I have looked up at least a half a dozen random things since coffee…How about you?
So, how are we finding the things we are looking for?

How will we get eyes on what we have worked so hard on?

So, getting acquainted with tools the way search engines like Google “see it” is optimal. This way you can hone your relevance for target keywords, and view ways to show them a “map” and thereby improve your ranking…

- Ahrefs: comes with all the tools you need to explore and grow your online presence. It examines your website property and produces keyword links and ranking profiles. Was named “Best SEO overall tool of 2023” by Forbes Advisor.
- Screaming Frog : A real time tech SEO audit that crawls websites’ links, images, CSS, script an apps from an SEO perspective.
So what do I do for keyword searches?
